Step 1 — Connect Your Wallet

The first step is connecting your Solana wallet. This tells the system which wallet address to send your SOL refund to and which address to check for GASCOIN token balance.

How to connect your wallet

1. Click the Connect Wallet button on Step 1
2. A wallet selection modal appears showing three options: Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack
3. Click the wallet you have installed. Your browser will open a popup from that wallet extension
4. Approve the connection in the wallet popup. You are not authorizing any transaction — just a read-only connection
5. Once connected, your wallet address appears in truncated form (e.g., GAs...xK92) and Step 1 is marked complete
6. The system automatically checks your GASCOIN token balance and displays your tier (Standard, Commuter, Road Warrior, or Fleet)

What happens if your wallet is not installed

If you click Phantom but do not have Phantom installed, your browser will redirect to the Phantom website where you can install it as a browser extension. After installing, return to the GASCOIN submit page and connect. The same applies to Solflare and Backpack.

Important notes about wallet connection

• You cannot proceed past Step 1 without connecting a wallet
• Only one wallet can be connected at a time
• The wallet you connect is the wallet that receives your SOL refund. Make sure it is the correct wallet
• Submission frequency depends on your tier: Standard and Commuter can submit once per week, Road Warrior twice per week, and Fleet four times per week. If you have an active or recently approved submission, you must wait until the cooldown expires
• The system checks for a pending submission from your wallet. If one already exists, you will see a message indicating this and cannot submit a duplicate
